Facebook Inc said 360 degree videos will now be supported by Web and Android platform. It will introduce the same for iOS platform in the coming months. Facebook web users can experience a 360 degree view by dragging a cursor and the mobile users can experience the same by tilting their device in any direction.
A 360 degree video enhances the user experience by allowing them to view a scene from any angle. A special set of cameras that can capture 360 degrees of a scene at the same time are used to shoot such videos. Publishers including LeBron James, Star Wars, Saturday Night Live, VICE, GoPro and Discovery took advantage of this feature and posted 360 degree videos.
